Chapter 9

Let the Brothers not preach in the diocese of a bishop when he opposes it, and let none of them attempt in any way to preach to the people unless they have been examined and approved by the General Minister of the Order and have received from him the permission to exercise the office of preacher.

I also warn and exhort the same Brothers not to say anything in their preachings that is not in the purity of doctrine and according to the rules of prudence, which is not suitable for instructing and edifying the people; presenting to them vices and virtues, punishment and glory in few words, because the Lord has shortened His word on earth.
